Writing prompts that render well
Name the subject, the setting, the light, and the framing in that order. Models follow the sentence like a camera brief — vague adjectives ("beautiful", "amazing") add little; specific ones ("dusk", "35mm", "overhead") add a lot.
Getting consistent characters or products
Upload one or two reference images and mention them in the prompt ("keep the same face", "match this label design"). Kontext-style and Gemini image models honor references more closely than diffusion-only models.
Directing motion for video
Describe the camera, not just the scene: "slow dolly-in", "static handheld", "drone pullback". Pair it with a pace word — "unhurried", "frenetic" — to steer how much happens inside the clip.
Choosing a model
Reach for Flux or Ideogram for typography and graphic design, Gemini or GPT Image for editing and reference fidelity, and Recraft for vector or brand-safe illustration. For video, Veo and Kling lead on realism; Ray and Hailuo are faster and cheaper for drafts.
